Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Between 2014 and 2020 its budget of €14.7 billion provided opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain experience and volunteer abroad.

We and also many other schools across Europe were able to benefit from funding support provided by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Programme. Since the Erasmus+ call 2018, schools could apply for School Exchange Partnerships, also known as KA229 projects. This opportunity supported mainly small projects, bringing together between two and six schools. A project could last 1-2 years, or up to 3 years in cases of long-term pupil mobility.

KA229 projects were projects that involve only schools as participating organisations. The coordinating school could apply on behalf of all participating school organisations, but each organisation was contracted by the National Agency in their country, via a separate Grant Agreement. In that case the National Agency submited the project data to a so called Mobility Tool+. Each participating organisation has received access to their own project version containing specific information.

Unfortunately, this great format of School Exchange Partnerships KA229 has not been available anymore since 2021 in the newest ERASMUS+ program generation.
